Severe Weather Possible Friday!!!

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Hi all!  So far April has been on the warm side but relatively quiet with severe weather.  Our pattern is starting to change a bit and becoming more active.  Showers will push out of the area early this evening and we will see dry weather for most of  Thursday.   A stronger storm will push out into the plains late Thursday into Friday bringing us a chance of strong storms.  The greatest threat would be hail and possible damaging winds.  The risk for sever weather extends from Eastern Nebraska south to Texas on Friday.  Stay tuned to Action 3 News and action3news.com for the latest over the next couple of days.

April Showers…

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

Another powerful spring storm will move out into the plains over the next few days. So far this week it has been windy and warm with temps around 80. Showers and storms will become more widespread Wednesday into Thursday. The chance for severe weather looks to be on the low side at this time although a few of the storms could be strong late on Wednesday. The northern branch of the storm will drive into Canada before dipping back into the Great Lakes. Another area of Low Pressure will develop over the Southern Plains by Friday but will be far enough south to keep the best chance of rain down that way. For us partly cloudy & cooler 60s will arrive for the weekend.
